Lesson FAQs
What should I bring to a lesson?
Just yourself and comfortable clothes you can move in. Bowling shoes and a house ball are provided at no extra charge if you don't own your own. If you do have your own shoes, ball or wrist support, bring them — we'll coach around your gear.
What ages do you teach?
All of them. We coach young kids, teens, adults and seniors. Lessons are tailored to the bowler in front of us, so a first-time child and a seasoned league adult each get coaching that fits.
Are lessons private or group sessions?
Every $45 lesson is a private, one-on-one, 45-minute session with a USBC-certified instructor — no crowded group class. That means the coach's full attention is on your game the entire time.
How much does a lesson cost?
$45 for a 45-minute private lesson, and that flat rate includes the lane time for your session. There are no packages to buy — book one lesson or as many as you like at the same price.
How do I book a lesson?

Do I need my own bowling ball?
No. House balls are available for your lesson. When you're ready to invest in a ball of your own, Big Jim's Pro Shop is right here at Westbrook Lanes for a proper fitting and drilling.
